I spent more than two weeks in this place, so the information, one might say, is in hot pursuit.

In my opinion, this hotel is more suitable than others for a long vacation on Nai Yang Beach, not only in terms of its location, but also in terms of price / quality ratio. However, there are always small nuances that may not be acceptable to some people, so read on, then you can better imagine whether it is interesting to you or not.

Nai Yang Beach Resort located a 10-minute drive from Phuket Airport, which is undoubtedly a big plus for Russian tourists. A long flight is usually exhausting; for many, a short transfer to the place is important.

First two: Oriental-Wing and Thai-Deluxe are almost identical in cost and size. Only the Thai Deluxe is located in a two-story building near the reception, and the East Wing rooms are further away, in a four-story building, although in the pictures you might think that they are in cottages.

Package and one-day tourists are usually accommodated in a distant building, but you should not be afraid, it is very close (100 meters) and it is also very beautiful there, see the photo.

If you are guaranteed to want to be closer to the reception and the sea, then initially choose Thai rooms.

The last two types of rooms Tropical-Deluxe and Thai-Mini-Suite are located in one and two-story cottages. Moreover, I still did not understand why Tropical is more expensive. It has a smaller area, only the furniture is a little fresher, but it’s nothing special, it’s not worth overpaying.

Thai suite two-room. However, there are full-fledged sofas in all hotel rooms, so those traveling with children should overpay only if it is important to have two rooms.

Such sofas are in almost every room, the size is not visible in the photo, but an adult will fully fit there.

The rooms are equipped with everything you need. LCD TVs selectively, they have not changed everywhere yet. Refrigerators are large, safes are modern, there are almost no shelves in the cabinets, but there are plenty of hangers. There are three free outlets. Two on the sides of the TV, one in the bathroom. Our plugs are inserted, adapters are not needed. There is a tea set, but instead of a teapot, a full-fledged multi-purpose device. Our tourists manage to cook shrimp in it (I saw reviews).

The beds are comfortable, the bed linen is yellowish, the towels are different, they can bring snow-white, or they can be washed and gray. Zero cleaning. Towels are changed every other time, they can be lifted from the floor and neatly folded, as if clean. Bed linen was changed a week after insistent requests. Moreover, tips do not affect the quality of cleaning. Although accidentally left money, they will definitely take it. This is often mentioned in reviews.

The toilet room is large, the shower is spacious, the water pressure is good, the temperature difference was not observed. There is an average hair dryer. Everything worked properly. After the drain in the barrel broke, they fixed it in 10 minutes.

Water is brought every day at 0.5 per person. Jars in the shower are also changed regularly, but toilet paper is often forgotten to be put in. The minibar consists of a couple of bottles of water, two chocolates, chips and nuts. We didn't use it.

The front door opens with an ordinary key, an electronic one hangs on the key fob, which you insert to turn on the light. It is inconvenient if you leave everything turns off, charging, air conditioning. You come back - stuffy. The air conditioner is really powerful and quite noisy. However, it is problematic to turn it on at night, it blows exclusively on the bed.

There are two restaurants at the Nai Yang Beach Resort. Both are located at the entrance to the territory.

The one on the right only works for breakfast. Every morning, from 7.00 to 11.00 there is a buffet. We must pay tribute, a very decent buffet.

There is literally everything, the choice is huge. Eggs in any form are cooked in front of you, pancakes and pancakes with any filling are fried. From hot, edible sausages, two types of chicken, variously cooked rice, local noodles, a lot of stewed vegetables, two soups are a must, there are even quite edible cereals with coconut milk. Muesli, delicious yogurt, toast, ham, fresh vegetables, some local salads. From fruits - pineapples, watermelon, mangoes, bananas and always something more exotic. Lots of pastries. The coffee is made by an automatic machine, but it doesn't taste very good. Dishes are constantly served, there are almost no empty trays.

In terms of variety, breakfasts are more like Turkish all-inclusive than Thai options in other hotels. But the cost bites - 300 baht. Therefore, they mainly eat package tourists who have this item a priori included in the cost of the tour.

Breakfast can be paid on the spot. Just at the entrance they will ask which room you live in, upon check-out they will add the cost of food to the bill. It will not be possible to go in twice in the morning, but it will probably work out unnoticed.

In fact, you can have breakfast at any beach cafe, while paying half the price.

The second restaurant is located to the left of the entrance to the hotel. It is small, open, and no different from beach cafes. Works all day long. In the evening there is sometimes live music, but for some reason it is not popular. Probably the prices bite, we did not go.

Territory and infrastructure

Nai Yang Beach Resort is very green. The lush tropical vegetation gives it a cozy and exotic look. The territory is large and well-groomed. Everything is compact and well thought out.

Along the perimeter are two or three storey buildings. Inside, around the pools, one-story cottages with small terraces are scattered. There are winding paths everywhere. There are beautiful flowers and shrubs around.

Three pools, different depths. There are children's sections. Water 26-28 degrees. Clean, but chlorine is felt. There are plenty of sun loungers around. I didn't see crowds of people.

Opposite the distant three-story building there is a recreation area, in the form of a wooden table and comfortable benches, everything is in the shade, there is a beautiful flower garden nearby.

The reception of the Nai Yang Beach Resort is located at the entrance, an open building, inside there are several large aquariums with large colorful fish. In the middle, a tree grows right through the roof. Looks interesting.

At the counter there is an announcement with the cost of a transfer to the airport. I posted the prices above. You can order an hour before departure, they will be taken by hotel car. To another place in Phuket, a city taxi is ordered here. It is better to agree on it in advance. I saw the tourists waiting for the car for about an hour.

Opposite the reception is a point for issuing beach towels, here you can also rent bedding, leaving a small deposit. Towels are usually taken on the way to the beach, giving out, the employee writes down the number. In the evening you return, your number is simply crossed out in your notebook.

Beach and sea

Nai Yang Beach Resort does not have its own beach. However, it is everywhere municipal. Despite this, the beach is very close, very clean and beautiful.

From the hotel to the beach no more than 30 meters. Opposite the entrance to the hotel is the central part of the beach. This is very convenient, because only here the tides are not felt, there are sunbeds (100 baht - 1), all cafes and macaques, a supermarket, an exchange office and a pharmacy are located.

At the same time, the place is calm, you can find the shade from the trees, if you don’t want to pay for a sunbed.

The sea is above all praise. Warm (+28-30), with smooth, clean, pleasant sand and a smooth entry into the water. But most importantly, in the season, there are never waves here. On the sides of the bay, huge breakwaters are covered under water, which reliably serve as a shield even in strong winds.

The cost of the trip to the hotel

In each review, I always show the real prices for a week's trip. Thus, I try to give readers the opportunity to initially estimate their capabilities.

Today I will show the cost of a weekly vacation for two adults with a flight from Moscow and accommodation in the simplest room with breakfast. As always, I will compare the cost of an independent trip and the proposed package tours.

I chose the most inexpensive dates in April, departure from Moscow on April 24, returning home on May 2. It turns out 7 nights in the hotel and one night on the plane.

I found only two operators offering tours to this hotel. In both cases, direct flight by scheduled flights.

Anex tour for the same dates

As you can see, Anex is a little cheaper. Not surprisingly, their representative is always in the reception area before lunch.

So, we will start from the fact that a weekly package tour for two at the end of April will cost 91,450 rubles. As usual, everything is included here: flights, transfers, accommodation, insurance and even breakfast.

In view of the fact that with a package tour the flight is direct, I look at tickets without transfers for regular flights.

Round-trip transfer to the airport will cost 500 baht, which corresponds to 900 rubles. The simplest weekly insurance for two will cost 2,500 rubles.

What is more profitable?

An independent trip to the Nai Yang Beach Resort is a little more expensive than a package tour. But by forgoing some inconvenience, you can make it cheaper than a tour. The most expensive thing there is tickets. If you find a curved flight, you can save at least 20,000 rubles. You can pay for a room without breakfast, they are very expensive there, 300 baht per person. Then save another 4,000 baht per week, which is about 7,000 rubles.

Even if you roughly estimate, then using all the methods of saving, you can relax together for 75,000 rubles, setting off on your own, without travel agencies. This method will be especially beneficial if you travel for a longer period.

Always consider all options before buying a tour. It often happens that an independent trip is cheaper and more convenient.

If you are going to stay on Nai Yang Beach, then this hotel is the best option in terms of price / quality ratio. And if you can play with the dates, you can buy it cheaper. In March, we managed to book a hotel through Booking with a 49% discount, which significantly reduced our travel budget. But for this, it is necessary to monitor offers daily.

On the official website of the hotel, the cost of Oriental-Wing and Thai-Deluxe rooms is the same. For some reason, the deluxe ones are more expensive on Booking. If the cost is the same, I recommend choosing the Thai deluxe. These rooms are closer to the sea and the reception. Accordingly, walking closer, the Internet in the room works better.

There are creams there. Take fomitoks in the outlet, it helps well. I also recommend taking a tee from home, there are not enough outlets.

Order a transfer from the hotel, at the airport a taxi is twice as expensive.

We spent a full 15 days at Nai Yang Beach Resort and did not regret it at all. The rooms are of course very tired, but spacious and bright. Cleaned very badly, but the garbage was always taken out and the problems were solved promptly.

The hotel is all in greenery, there are swimming pools next to each building, you can’t see the people at all, the sea is close, the tourist infrastructure too. You can eat on a budget. It is not difficult to find shade on the beach, there are no waves, the sea is warm, almost hot.

An interesting interior, three swimming pools with fountains, hearty breakfasts and friendliness of the staff are just a small part of what seasoned tourists admire. Nai Yang Beach Resort is ideal for families with children, which is facilitated by a good location near the coast and a landscaped area with lots of greenery for outdoor walks.

Despite the fact that the last overhaul was carried out more than ten years ago, the hotel looks interesting and modern. When booking, you can choose one of five types of rooms, which differ in the level of comfort, view from the window (on the garden or pool) and the number of beds. Each room has its own terrace where you can relax in comfortable armchairs, drink coffee and admire the surroundings.

In the room itself you can find everything you need for a carefree holiday: a large refrigerator, air conditioning, an electric kettle, a safe, a hairdryer, shower accessories. Updated furniture: comfortable king size beds, desk, wardrobe, sofa by the window. The bathroom has a shower (a bathtub is only available in the suite), a toilet, a bidet and a mirror. All plumbing is in working condition, there are no problems with hot water and drain.

On the territory and in the rooms there is access to a Wi-Fi network (password and login are indicated on the key card).

Every day, plain bottled water, tea / coffee bags are delivered to each person. If desired, you can use the mini-bar. Before check-in, they require you to leave a deposit of $ 100, which will be returned if the rest passes without incident.

On the territory of the hotel you can find two restaurants overlooking the sea: one is a buffet (Turtle Bay), the other is a la carte (The Sands). Depending on the voucher, meals can be different (HB, BB, FB, RO), only breakfasts (BB) are more common, but full board (FB) can also be offered.

At breakfast they offer a large selection of local fruits, cereals (with milk / water), soups (with chicken / seafood), pastries, eggs (boiled / fried) packaged juices. The menu is also great for younger children as there is always a choice between Thai and European cuisine. All food is prepared simply, without an abundance of local ingredients.

Delivery of food and drinks is available around the clock (payment at prices from the menu). There is a poolside bar serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Near the hotel there is a local market where you can taste street food snacks, sliced ​​fruits and various cocktails.

Staff

According to the reviews of tourists for 2019, the employees are very friendly and always ready to make contact. Attitude towards vacationers is like in a five-star hotel. Communication with staff is possible in Thai and English language. The activity of the reception was noted - all problems are solved promptly, check-in takes place without delay, luggage is helped to carry to the floor. There were cases when the administrator went forward and populated earlier than the allotted time. If this is not possible, employees will do everything to brighten up the wait.

Upon check-in, they bring a compliment in the form of a plate of fruit. Little guests are also not left without attention, and they give a small local souvenir.

Cleaning and change of bed linen takes place every day, but some tourists complain about the constant dirt (they don’t dust well, they don’t wash the plumbing). Three sets of clean towels are provided per person per day. The minibar, tea/coffee bags, bottled water and shower amenities are replenished daily.

In Nai Yang there is no rich animated program, children's parties and noisy parties. This place will allow you to enjoy a calm, measured rest without intrusive music and crowds of tipsy tourists.

From entertainment, relaxation is offered at one of the three pools, where there are sun loungers, umbrellas and a bar. Fans of SPA treatments can enjoy the sauna, Thai massage, body wraps. Next to the main pool there is a small children's pool where the child can spend time with peers at a safe depth. Within a few kilometers there are golf courses, Splash Jungle Water Park and national park with casaurines.

Immediately outside the territory of the hotel complex there is a coast that will take lovers beach holiday a lot of positive emotions. The cleanest coast of Nai-Yang Beach and the hotel building are separated by several meters. The road to the coast passes in the shade of sprawling trees, which allows you to hide from the aggressive Thai sun.

A distinctive feature of the local beach is the calm sea. There are no big waves in this area, it rarely storms, there are practically no dangerous living creatures like jellyfish and plankton.

Due to the calm, the water in the sea is almost always blue, clear and warm, which is ideal for bathing children. It is possible to rent sun loungers and umbrellas for an additional fee.

There is not a large flow of tourists on the beach, as there are only a few hotels along the coast. Tourists celebrate a truly azure coast - white sand, blue water, clear skies. Many come back because of the beach holiday.

Location and surroundings

The resort complex is not located in the busiest area of ​​Phuket. The active tourist life of Thailand begins to boil only at a distance of several kilometers. Not far from the coast there is a local market, which is thoroughly saturated with Thai flavor. There you can buy souvenirs, clothes, oils, etc.

The coast is about 3 km long and covered with golden sand. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available only on hotel plots. The descent into the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy. In the sea not far from the coast there are several small islands and a coral reef, which serve as natural breakwaters that dampen the waves.

A small casuarina grove grows on the south side of the beach, and a dense tropical forest rises close to the sandy line in the north. The beach is not crowded, in some places it is completely deserted. It is especially comfortable to relax here with small children. There are almost no waves, the coast is shallow, you can build entire cities on the sand. Nai Yang at low tide does not present a single chance to swim - the water goes hundreds of meters away.

Noisy entertainment on Nai Yang is not welcome, since a large number of wild animals, reptiles and birds live in the protected area, which can leave their habitual habitats in an extreme situation. In the bay, movement on boats and motorized longtails, parasailing, water skiing and other similar water activities are prohibited. You can go diving, snorkeling, surfing.

When is the best time to go

The best time for a beach holiday in Phuket is from November to April or May. The weather during this period is sunny, windless, the sea is calm, there are almost no waves. The peak of the beach season falls on December, when a number of major international holidays are added to water activities. Prices for air tickets, accommodation, services, food and transportation are all at their peak.

Description of Nai Yang Beach

As far as I understand, there is no clear boundary between Nai Yang and the northern beach of Mai Khao. For clarity, I identified it in a bay between two capes, this is clearly visible on the map (it is at the end of the post). The beach is located on national park Sirinat is 2 km long and about 30-35 meters wide.

The southernmost part of Nai Yang Beach is absolutely not suitable for swimming, there is a very small and strong influence of low tide, besides, a river flows into the sea. But there are no people at all. A gravel road leads here.

South side of the beach

A little further - the main crowd of people, sunbeds stand in two rows, but no one interferes with anyone. There is a small strip of palm trees and other trees that provide shade. There are also a few simple cafes, and many more restaurants across the road. It is here that the main cluster of hotels, massage parlors, there are even several bars, but they are far from the noise of Patong.

The middle part of the beach is the best. There are no hotels or cafes right on the shore, but big trees grow, a real forest between the beach and the road. In addition, there are almost no people. Sometimes locals come to a picnic in the evening, lay out mats and sit down to eat.

The northern part is a little less suitable for swimming, boats are parked here. But it is from here that the best view of the planes taking off and landing. If you want the planes to fly right over your head at 50 meters, head to Mai Khao Beach. Travel on the road to this part is paid, there is a national park ticket office: 200 baht per adult, 100 baht per child. Locals pay less. There are almost no cafes here, and from housing - only the park's bungalows. By night, all life generally freezes in pitch darkness.

The sand on Nai Yang is medium-sized, light in color, generally pleasant. The water in the sea is clean, and the entry is quite smooth, although steeper than, for example. Personally, I really liked it here.

You will not find special entertainment on the beach. From aquatic species sports - only kayak rentals. There are several bars with a relaxed reggae atmosphere.

On the other hand, all the necessary infrastructure is available: ATMs, exchange offices, cafes, a good selection of hotels, there are shops 7-11, and a market.

The nearest interesting places- This is a water park just north of the airport, Bang Pae waterfall and a gibbon rehabilitation center on the opposite eastern side of Phuket, Wat Phra Thong temple.

You can walk to the highway from the airport and take a bus to. There, the town itself is worth a look, and go to the shopping centers. From there you can also go to other beaches: but keep in mind that this will take a long time.

Cafes and Restaurants in Nai Yang Beach

The cheapest food in the area is the local fresh market, where fruits and vegetables are also sold. It is located on the way to the main road near the temple (I marked it on the map below), and is open from about 16:00 to 20:00, it may open earlier on weekends.

boss bar- a great place to dine in a relaxed atmosphere with live music. Located very close to the beach, they have good seafood and fruit shakes. Prices are average.

Ma Ma Nang- a small restaurant in the middle of the beach. Delicious soups, seafood, pizza and french fries for those who are tired of Thai cuisine. Fruit smoothies are also ok! Located right on the sand on the beach.

Peony Coffee & Restaurant– in addition to classic Thai cuisine, coffee is served, a good place for breakfast.

Sea Almond Chilled Restaurant & Bar— great location right on the beach with a gorgeous view, a large selection of different beers.

The Good View— a simple and inexpensive cafe right on the sand, moderate prices.

How to get there?

The distance between the airport and the beach is about 2 km, so getting there is not a problem. Another thing is that local taxi drivers ask for insane money for such a distance - at the counter at the exit from the arrivals hall, the price is 500 baht! In general, bargain.

If you are without large bags and small children, a reasonable option is to walk, about 3 km. A bus to Phuket Town also runs along the highway from the airport, but not very often and does not stop at the beach itself.

The most comfortable option is to order a transfer online through a service verified by tourists. You will be met with a sign upon arrival, the bags will be taken to the car and quickly delivered to the place, and you will already know the price in advance and you will not have to bargain on the spot.
