According to the reviews of tourists about holidays in Israel at the Dead Sea, a relaxing wellness holiday can be obtained in Ein Bokek where most of the hotels are concentrated. There are no nightclubs and discos in Ein Bokek, only clinics and hotels with shops.

Dead Sea hotels operate on a half board basis - breakfast and dinner. Only five-star hotels have their own beach, all the rest use municipal beaches with paid sunbeds and umbrellas. Before swimming, it is advisable to consult a doctor so that he recommends dosed marine procedures; there are watches on the beaches for self-control. Bromine air is ideal for allergy sufferers and asthmatics, and mud treats skin problems.

Red sea

On the shores of the Red Sea Bay lies the country's southernmost resort - Eilat. Around the resort is a very beautiful nature reserve. Due to its remoteness from other cities, Eilat has its own airport.

The north coast of Eilat is sandy beaches, in the south - pebble and pebble-sand. According to reviews of holidays in Israel on the Red Sea, the southern coast is more suitable for lovers of snorkeling and diving, you can enter the sea only from pontoons, the northern one is for family holidays.

All beaches in Eilat are municipal, but hotels rent part of the beach to make it available only to their vacationers. Activities include yachting, jeeping, fishing and water sports sports, many people come here for shopping.

Where can you relax in Israel inexpensively?

The most unpleasant moment of a holiday in Israel is the high prices. Hotels here are expensive, and, as tourists write in their reviews, the star classification is very relative. The cheapest room in a 3 * hotel in Tel Aviv or Eilat will cost at least $ 50 per person per day, and the average price fluctuates around $ 100. Most low prices in winter, approximately 1.5 times lower than in spring or autumn.

How much does a trip to Israel cost? We are available for trips of 3, 5, 7 and 10 days.

The most expensive hotels in Herzliya. This resort is considered elite, almost all 5 * hotels, a lot of entertainment for rich people. Relatively inexpensive holidays in Netanya and Bat Yam. Hotels in Netanya are mostly 2-3*. This is a good resort for young people and everyone who loves outdoor activities and nightlife. Bat Yam is a suburb of Tel Aviv. Vacation prices here are lower than in the capital, and much calmer, and you can go to Tel Aviv for entertainment.

Holidays in Bat Yam can be combined with shopping - the city has many boutiques and shopping centers with Israeli cosmetics and branded clothing. (Photo © wikimedia.org / Odo1982)

Cultural and sightseeing holidays in Israel

The most popular among excursion destinations is Jerusalem- Tourists love to wander around the ancient quarters of the Old City. Here are the main religious shrines of Christians, Jews and Muslims - the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Temple Mount, the Wailing Wall, the Dome of the Rock, the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Biblical Zoo is located in the southwest of the city, and lovers of antiquities and museum exhibits can visit the Israel Museum.

No less popular are other biblical cities - Bethlehem, Nazareth, Safed and Tiberias. In the capital, the Old City of Jaffa is of the greatest interest to tourists. The city of Haifa has gained worldwide fame thanks to the famous Bahai Gardens. Vacationers in Ein Bokek visit Masada - a fortress built in the desert under King Herod.

It is worth noting that the Israelis on Friday at sunset and until sunset Saturday rest - they have Shabbat. Transport and shops also do not work, so this nuance must be taken into account when planning trips around the country.

Israel considered one of the most popular destinations for holidays with children. short flight, visa-free regime, several seas, mild climate give a good reason to choose this particular destination for a family trip in the cold season. However, in addition to the well-known advantages, this option of traveling with a small child (1-2 years old) has some minor disadvantages, which are best taken into account in advance.

Children's products

Israel has bypassed the progress that makes life easier for young mothers. In this country, in principle, meat cans are not sold. baby food(importation of meat in any form is prohibited for commercial purposes, and baby food is only imported - hipp and Gerber). The rest of the range is extremely poor. You can buy fruit purees, carrots from vegetables Gerber if you're lucky, then spinach, broccoli, zucchini. Locals explain this by the fact that they have fresh fruits and vegetables all year round.

The choice of diapers in Israel is also poor. Premium panty diapers are impossible to find (at least we never did). Ordinary diapers Pampers There is premium care, but they differ from ours not for the better. I don't remember Japanese brands.

In defense of the country, I can say that the climate there is wonderful, and the child was fine in ordinary diapers (in Moscow, there would probably have been some kind of bad reaction from such diapers).

Hospitality

In Israel, children are very loved, and everyone tries to cuddle them, especially if the child is blond. Here, as in the Arab countries, it is believed that if you touch a fair-haired child, it will bring happiness, good luck, etc. Our baby is fair, and the Israelis were somewhat importunate: no one passed by.

Facilities

In Israel, it is not very convenient to move around the cities. Not everywhere there are exits from the sidewalks, especially where they are high. There are elevators and ramps in shopping centers and other public places, but often only near one exit, you won’t relax. Also in Israel, the "Soviet" principle often operates: if the house has less than 5 floors, it is not necessary to install an elevator (even a new house does not guarantee the presence of an elevator). Of course, there are exceptions to this rule. In general, when choosing a rented apartment, it is necessary to find out in advance the question of the availability of an elevator and the floor of residence.

On the streets

I must say that there are a lot of smokers in Israel. On walks with a child, this is a little annoying, because you don’t want him to breathe tobacco smoke. And it's not as clean as in Europe, the USA or even Russia. There is a lot of dog excrement on the streets (they are not cleaned up like in Europe and America), and there are almost no lawns, so all this waste is lying on the sidewalk. In Tel Aviv, there was a "don't step on a poop" attraction.

And yet, the mild climate in the winter season, the beautiful (and, surprisingly, quite clean) Red Sea, the huge sandy beaches of Tel Aviv, which will appeal to children of any age, allow you to close your eyes to all the listed small inconveniences and invariably attract to Israel many young families.

Israel is a convenient country for traveling with children, there is a lot of entertainment for children of any age, and everywhere there are facilities for mothers with children and prams. So you made the right decision if you decided to spend your holidays with your children and chose Israel for this.

You can have a lot of reasons to come to Israel: holy places, architecture, beach holidays, history. For holidays with a child in Israel there is clean air, developed infrastructure, but most importantly, a national love for children. In Israel, your child will be happy, which means you too!

More than 2 million children live in Israel, which is more than 30% of the country's population. The average number of children in an ordinary Jewish family is 3 children. Most are accustomed to relaxing with children. Quite often you can see even a week-old child in a restaurant or in a hotel as a companion of happy parents. It is Israel that is one of those resort countries where you can enjoy a good rest with children.

From this article you will learn where it is better to live with a baby, where to go, what to feed and a lot of other useful information.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

1 adult + 1 child.

If you decide to come to Israel with a baby, you should understand that this is not the most economical travel option. Unfortunately, the discounts provided for the accommodation of children in the hotel do not apply to your case. You can only count on accommodation in a double room. Very rarely, in the off-season, hotels can offer a SINGLE+ CHD discount.

1 adult + 2 children.

This option is similar to the previous one with the only difference that the accommodation will be - double room + child, Double+CHD

Parents + 1 child.

If you decide to come with one child, then you can choose any hotel in Israel - in almost all hotels in the country there is accommodation in Double + CHD rooms, where an extra bed or a sofa bed will be for a child. If you are coming with a baby under 2 years old, then when ordering a hotel, do not forget to remind you that you will be provided with a BABY COAT, in many hotels this service is free.

Parents + 2nd or more children.

If you are traveling with several children, then when choosing a hotel, you need to check with us in which of the hotels there are special family rooms. Israeli hotels have rooms that can comfortably accommodate a family with 3-4 children. If there are no special family rooms in the hotel you have chosen (usually these are tourist class hotels), then it is possible (but quite expensive) to stay in two standard double rooms connected by a door - Connected.

Accommodation of children in hotels up to a certain age is offered with significant discounts, so when choosing and booking a hotel, ask at what age the hotel considers a child a child. Standard option - up to 12 years.

In the table below, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with the hotels in the main resorts of Israel, where special family rooms are available:

CHILD NUTRITION

If you are traveling with a small child, the issue of nutrition is very relevant. There are many hotels in Israel that have kitchenettes in their rooms, and almost all hotels have a tea corner (a kettle and a tea / coffee set), where you can always dilute formula milk for your baby or warm up food. In grocery stores or Superpharm / Newpharm chain stores, you can easily buy milk porridges for babies (~ $ 3 pack) and vegetable / fruit mixes (~ $ 1.3 per jar). Meat purees are not available. Always at any time of the year there is a large selection of fresh fruits and berries, the prices for everything are definitely lower than in Russia.

However, the presence of a kitchenette in the room will greatly facilitate the task of feeding a baby or infant. Usually this is a sink, refrigerator, stove or microwave oven and an elementary set of dishes.

Contact us and we will select for you a hotel with kitchenettes in the rooms!

Unfortunately, all inclusive hotels not so much in Israel, there is a hotel on the Dead Sea and a few in Eilat.

BATHING IN THE SEA AND POOL

In the Red Sea (Eilat), the water temperature is +23 degrees almost all year round, and the air temperature in winter and spring averages +25 degrees.

On the Mediterranean Sea, the beaches of Netanya, Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, the official swimming season begins in April and ends in October.

In winter, when it is already cold to swim in the sea and in the outdoor pools of hotels, it is very important to have a pool with heated water in the hotel. By the way, keep in mind that in all hotels, children under 14 (and in some up to 16) years old are not allowed to enter the SPA. Therefore, you will have to think in advance what your child will do when you are in the SPA.

Below we suggest you familiarize yourself with the list of hotels that have heated pools.

OTHER USEFUL TIPS

And of course, so that the vacation is not overshadowed by troubles - our reminders.

1. Do not forget to protect your child's skin with sunscreen, in Israel, under the hot sun, you can get burned in a few minutes.

2. Wherever you are, wherever you are going, always have a bottle of water with you, you need to drink a lot.

3. Keep in mind that usually children under 14 years old are not allowed in spas in hotels. Therefore, most likely the child will have to be left for the duration of your visit to the SPA in the kids club or with a nanny. Or go to the spa in turn :)

4. You should not bring diapers with you. You can always buy them in grocery stores, supermarkets and Superpharm/Newpharm stores.

Take your children with you, because during the trip, the kids have a leap in development, the boundaries of consciousness expand, and fantasy manifests itself. You will definitely notice changes in your baby - new words, skills, because travel is the intellectual development of a child!

There are many wonderful places in Israel that both adults and children will enjoy visiting. In addition, given the small area of the country, you can visit different parts of it in a short period of time.

Where to go in Israel with a child and what to see?

The weather during the winter months in Israel is varied. It depends on the location of the point where you are going.

For example, in the north of the country, on the slopes of Mount Hermon, snow may lie at this time. Here on ski resort you are waiting for fun skiing, sledding, snowboarding. Fun for everyone – from accompanying grandparents to the little ones.

Beach holiday opportunities in Israel in February

It is unlikely that you will be able to splash at this time in one of the four seas, the waters of which wash Israel. These are the Red, Mediterranean, Dead and Galilee Seas (the latter is Lake Kinneret with fresh water).

The weather is generally comfortable: +15…+21 degrees, although it often rains in February. But the water is still cold for beach holiday. In the Mediterranean Sea (Tel Aviv), the water temperature is up to +18 degrees, and few people dare to swim in the cool Mediterranean waters.

In the Dead Sea, the water is a little warmer: +18…+20 degrees. And the warmest at this time is the Red Sea (in the resort of Eilat): +22 degrees.

Well, you will not be able to soak up the beach. But on the other hand, such a moderate and not hot temperature is a great opportunity to devote time to excursions and visit many interesting places Oh.

Through the holy places of Israel with children

It is impossible to visit Israel and not visit Jerusalem. Do not be afraid that the child will not understand or he will not be interested. Tour of the tunnels Wailing Wall is unlikely to leave the child indifferent. The impressions you get will be remembered for years to come.

Jerusalem - ancient city peace. Its part, the so-called Old City, is the center of Judaism and Christianity, these are historical, cultural and religious monuments of different peoples: the Jewish Western Wall and the Temple Mount, the Christian Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Muslim Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

Zoos in Israel

There are a lot of zoos in Israel. Moreover, their peculiarity is that animals live in them almost in natural conditions. Well, children really like to watch and communicate with animals. And visiting zoos is guaranteed to give them pleasure and joy.

On the eastern outskirts of Tel Aviv on a vast territory (more than 100 hectares) is located zoological center Safari in Ramat Gan.

This is a kind of African savannah. Animals live in huge enclosures, and the illusion of free communication with wild lions, giraffes, leopards is created.

Moving around the park in a special car or in your own car, you can make an amazing journey into the world of animals and birds, attend educational lessons for children. Here in the park you can relax on numerous playgrounds and attractions.

This tropical crocodile farm park is home to a variety of crocodiles (about 200 species). Watching them bask in the sun and swim in the ponds is very interesting.

And this is not the only entertainment in the park. Here you can have a lot of fun with children on the Splash water attraction, take healthy baths in thermal springs and swimming pools.

There is a live corner and mini safari where children can play with the animals or listen to the amazing performance of trained parrots.

This zoo, which is located in the southwest of Jerusalem, has collected more than 200 species of animals living in the land of Israel since Biblical times, including many rare and endangered.

It's always crowded here. Picturesque nature, waterfalls, a lake, lawns, comfortable walking paths without stairs make this park an attractive place for parents and children to relax.

Park A-Kofim - monkey nursery

In the Middle East, this kind of park is perhaps the only one and it is located not far from Jerusalem in the Ben Shemen forest.

The park very realistically reproduces the atmosphere of the jungle and rainforest. Many monkeys (more than 100 species) live almost naturally in open enclosures.

There are so many interesting places in Israel and, of course, it is impossible to visit all the places in one trip. But if you can visit Gan Guru Australian Animal Park, Red Sea Oceanarium(Eilat), nature reserve "Ein Gedi"(near the Dead Sea) - it will be wonderful and informative.

Museums of Israel and other attractions

What to do if you want to see everything, but your children do not have enough time or physical endurance for this?

In this case, a visit to a very original museum will help you out. "Mini Israel".

This is an open-air museum-country, which contains all the outstanding monuments of Israel. Moreover, these exhibits are presented on a scale of 1:25. The country lives its own life in this mini-world: planes take off from mini-airports, mini-ships are loaded in the port, trains depart from stations, and all this is inhabited by miniature figures of people.

Interesting for children Tanque museumin Latrun located between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. It strikes with a variety of military equipment, mostly captured.

This is one of the few museums in the world where exhibits (various fruits and vegetables, fairy-tale characters and even famous actors and politicians) are made of marzipan (a mixture of powdered sugar and almond flour).

Here, under the guidance of experienced mentors, children can create marzipan figurines with their own hands and even take part in the competition for the best marzipan composition.

Walking through the narrow streets of Jaffa, Israel's oldest city, or through the ancient Roman ruins in Caesarea National Park, visiting the delightful gardens surrounding the Bahai Temple, in friendly and tolerant Haifa or national park and reserve Ein Gedi in the Judean Desert will complement the missing pieces in the mosaic picture of the many-sided and diverse Israel.

If you get tired of the sights and museums, you can just go with the children to the rides or water parks.

The most famous: in Tel Aviv - Lunapark, Superland in Rishon LeZion,Aquapark "Shvaim".

  • If there is no clearly defined plan and the trip is sightseeing, it is best to stay in Tel Aviv. Tours depart from here on all routes.
  • If you go on a trip on your own, experienced travelers are advised to buy excursions on the spot in Israel. Because it's cheaper.
  • Not everyone knows that swimming in the Dead Sea with small children should be done carefully. Very salty water, if it comes into contact with the mucous membrane, can cause severe burning and more serious complications.

Bye, bye... And have a good trip!

Once, during the Soviet era, all Soviet families tried to take their children to Anapa for the summer. Anapa was considered the most "children's" resort: the beach is sandy, the entry into the sea is smooth, the sanatoriums and boarding houses are specialized ... Now that our people have looked (and many have looked intently, and more than once) behind the "Iron Curtain" , it became clear that there are other places to stay. There, the beaches are cleaner, the sea is kinder, the service is better ... And Anapa gradually lost its "childish" status. Moms and dads are now trying to take their children away from their native shores.

There are more opportunities for recreation, but the number of questions that parents do not stop asking themselves and each other has also increased. Where to go on vacation with a child? Which hotel to choose? Will there be food for the baby?

Let's make a reservation right away: our list of "children's" hotels includes only sea hotels. Still, holidays with kids, first of all, are beach holidays. Attractions are good for schoolchildren. And the little ones - zoos, aquariums, amusement parks and sea-sea-sea ...

In the resorts of Israel (we are not talking about the resorts on the shores of the Dead Sea, because splashing and diving in its waters is impossible), you can safely recover even with the smallest babies. In general, in this country there is a cult of children. Everything is geared towards them. The main thing is to choose the right time for rest (so that it is not very hot: April-March and September-October are optimal) and a hotel (such that the children are more comfortable and more interesting, and the parents are easier). Although, in fairness, it should be noted that it is convenient to relax with children in almost every hotel in the Holy Land.

Where to live and what to entertain?

In principle, you can stay in any - even a 3-star - hotel. Star rating will primarily affect the size of the hotel, but not the cleanliness and level of service. But in order for children to be not only comfortable, but also interested, it is better to opt for one of the family hotels. As a rule, there are game rooms, children's pools, all kinds of entertainment programs ...

What to feed?

In Israel, several crops of vegetables and fruits are harvested throughout the year. And everything is so amazingly beautiful and delicious! There are even pitted watermelons. In any city there are "Russian shops" where the same products are sold as in Russia, of the same production and even in the same packaging. People from the former USSR work there: Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians... In all stores, both "Russian" and "local", there are a lot of high quality dairy and sour-milk products. A lot of products (including ready-to-eat) for children under three years old. So if necessary, it will not be difficult on your own. But this is usually not necessary.

In hotels - especially those that position themselves as family - a varied buffet. There are special high chairs and "children's" dishes. The latter, as a rule, are not in great demand among Russians - our children are happy to eat food from an adult table. For example, for breakfast, the following set of dishes is offered: cottage cheese of various fat content (from 0% to 18%), cheeses, yogurts, vegetables, fruits, muesli, milk, eggs in various forms (fried eggs are fried immediately before being put on a plate), fresh bakery. During the day - free juices, fruits and freshly prepared cookies. Everything is of the highest quality. Children don't go hungry.

Moreover, an individual cleaner is "attached" to each little guest of the hotel in the restaurant - to quickly pick up what accidentally and in large quantities falls under the table.

Do not worry that the time for breakfast (lunch-dinner) has passed, and the child "did not eat anything." In Israel, children's features and even whims are treated with great understanding. “We were vacationing in Eilat with a 2-year-old child,” says Elena D., a Muscovite. “We decided to eat on the “first” shift in order to get to the sea early. abundance of food and people, actually ate nothing - only spun around. When it came time to free the tables for the next "shift", we did not manage to shove anything into our princess. Restaurant managers, seeing our upset faces, invited me and my daughter to have breakfast several times while the restaurant is open for vacationers.

Red sea. Eilat. Magic Palace Hotel (Fattal hotel chain).

Magic Palace offers its guests its own holiday concept: 5 stars for adults + 5 stars for children.

Surprises await the kids, starting from the first minute of their stay at the hotel. At the entrance, little guests are greeted by the characters of their favorite fairy tales, who lead them to a special "children's room" of registration. Here, babies are photographed and given a special "guest passport" and "checkbook" to receive free drinks, food and snacks.

But the main secret of the Magic Palace is hidden in the "Magic Jungle". This is - kids club with video games, a mini-cinema and a variety of entertainment, in which kind fairy-tale characters in colorful costumes give gifts to children.

Magic Palace is the only non-stop hotel in Israel:

Not so long ago, clubs for teenagers aged 9-17 were opened in family hotels of the network. Mediterranean Sea. Haifa. Hotel LEONARDO

The only hotel in Haifa located directly on the coast mediterranean sea. The spacious rooms can accommodate parents even with four children.

The restaurant has a special children's menu. There is a children's club where educators conduct art lessons and other children's activities. The children's pool is open.

Among the attractions located near the hotel are the Bahai Gardens, the German Quarter, the observation post "Stella Maris", the Nisens Valley. On Saturdays there is a free city tour. An interesting zoo operates in Haifa - there are practically no closed cages in it. Visitors can "visit" lemurs, the most diverse feathered and marine animals.

Mediterranean Sea. Bat Yam. Mercure Bat-Yam Hotel.

The hotel is located on the coast. Nearby is the beach: clean white sand, smooth entry into the water. Two-room suites with terraces and sea views are ideal for families with two children. There are no special options for children in the hotel (except for the pool, children's menu and high chairs in the restaurant). But its location is in a quiet resort town and at the same time close to Tel Aviv with its numerous entertainment centers, children's clubs, a zoo-safari, a variety of cafes makes it very convenient for families. We recommend visiting a chocolate cafe, where children with pleasure first squeeze chocolate out of tubes onto plates, draw houses and suns for them, and then selflessly lick their creativity. And everything repeats again.
