But first, we recommend leaving your lovely companion in a safe area. The first catapult can be neutralized by leaning against the loophole and shooting at the fuel barrel, which is very well located next to the catapult.

To determine the location of the second catapult, you still have to go out into the open. When the enemy is noticed, run to the boxes: you can hide behind them and from there blow up a barrel near the second catapult with an accurate shot. To find and destroy the third catapult, go up to the top of the tower where the cannon is installed. Almost immediately you will come under fire from the catapult - well, at least there will be no problems with determining its location. Take a sniper rifle and kill the enemy loading the catapult with an accurate shot.

Please note that there is no further passage, so that it appears, you need to swap the swords inserted into the walls. On the first floor there is a gold slab, and in it a platinum sword, on the second floor there is a platinum slab, and in it a gold sword. When finished, continue pursuing the leader, go up to the second floor. Run into the room on the opposite side and shoot your gun at the main enemy. Be careful, there is a monk with a shield next to you, but your main goal is to kill the leader without letting him get to the turret. A good and accurate shot from a gun can knock him down and it will be easier for you to finish off the enemy. You can also use a sniper rifle.

If, nevertheless, the leader ran to the machine gun, then get ready to delay Resident Evil 4 passage - you will have to neutralize the annoying enemy. Since the machine gun shoots quickly, it will not be easy not to get caught in its turn. It is best to attack at the moment when the leader will reload the machine-gun belt. Alternatively, you can try to run behind him. Sooner or later, you can kill him. Search the corpse to find the key to the closed door. Also search the second floor, using the key, open the previously closed door. Now you can start a new section of the Resident Evil 4 passage.

Do not be afraid, she will not destroy America, on the contrary - it will give the key to further Resident Evil 4 passage - a chest will appear in the center of the hall. But it’s not so easy to get to him. There are two more doors on the floor. Behind one of them you will find a jug, break it, there is another button under it. Fighting Garrador in a confined space under the shots of crossbows is not a good idea, so first of all, shoot at the castle of the cage. If you act quickly, you will not receive damage. Run outside and give the local monk onlookers the last spectacle of their lives. When finished with them, you can return to Garrador. The creature can leave the cage, or it can remain in it, but whatever the principle of the struggle remains the same - shoot the bag behind the back. After finishing the fight, take the treasure from the chest, break the glass in the booth nearby and take the grenade. Leave the room through the second door (through the first you got inside). You can leave the room by lifting the grate with a lever, or by deciding to crawl at the table through the opening in the wall.

In the next room you will again stumble upon a monk, but the methods of dealing with him are already well known to you. Many useful items can be found in this room, including in cabinets and drawers. The only passage further will be blocked by two grates, which can be raised using the levers on either side of the door. As a result, you will find yourself in a corridor. You need to explore the room on the left side of the corridor - you will find several valuables and a note. In the drawer of the table you can find a useful item, and on the chest of drawers - a jewel. Your goal is the big picture. Exit the room and look for the door on the left. You will be taken to a dark part of the castle complex. The flashlight that Ashley suddenly has will help you a lot. Around it there were no important places worth defending, no important trade roads, no settlements, and there was no access to a water source. In the castle itself, no fortifications, no treasury, no storage facilities, no kitchen were found. However, the dungeon is completely pitted with catacombs. The architectural plan of the Gouska castle confirms that the fortress was not built to defend against outside attacks, but to defend against what was inside. The towers, which have not survived to this day, were turned inward.

It is only known that the stone fortress was built by order of the ruler of Bohemia Přemysl Otakar II. According to the latest archaeological research, the castle was founded between 1270 and 1280. and is one of the few well-preserved castles from that era. However, experts believe that on the site of the modern castle already in the 9th century there was a wooden fortress, which Prince Slavibor of the Pshovani family built for his son Gousek. It was in honor of Gousek that the fortress was named. The building has been reconstructed more than once, and in the 16th century it was changed in the style of the Renaissance.

For a long time it was the administrative residence of the Bohemian king. Then the residence was transferred to the hands of the aristocracy. Until the 18th century, the owners of the castle were constantly changing. In 1924, the castle was acquired by the president of Skoda, Josef Szimonek, who turned it into a summer residence. During World War II, Gouska Castle was captured by German troops. In 1950, the castle was nationalized and turned into the Clementinum Archives - the State Library. In the early 1990s, the castle was returned to its previous owners - Jaromir Szimonek and Blanka Gorova. In 1999, a partial reconstruction of the castle was carried out, and it was opened to tourists.

Gouska Castle was built over a large hole in the ground, which, according to legend, is the gateway to hell. Local residents more than once saw how half-human-half-animals crawled out of the hole and scary creatures with dark wings flew out. A letter from Vaclav Gayek of Lubočany, who lived in the 15th century, has survived. He wrote to his brother Eduard: “I was walking through the forest, not far from the town of Gouska. Suddenly a rock cracked under the hail, a hole was formed, and evil spirits began to appear from this hole and turn into animals ... "

There is also a legend that those sentenced to death were given a chance to receive pardon if they descended on a rope into the hole in Gouska, and then tell what they saw there. It is said that the first prisoner who decided to get his freedom in this way started screaming after spending a few seconds in the hole. When they pulled him out, they saw a terrified man with hair that turned gray with horror.

After making sure that the hole was unsafe, the owners of the castle decided to fill up the demonic well. However, the well turned out to be practically bottomless. It took three years to completely fall asleep. And in order to finally close the "gates to hell" and prevent the demons from entering the world of the living, it was decided to build a chapel over the filled-in hole, which is the most mysterious room of the Gouska castle.

The chapel is located in the northern wing of the castle and is very similar to the chapel of the Bezdez castle, which was built almost simultaneously with the Gouska castle.

The walls of the chapel are decorated with unusual frescoes, uncharacteristic for European castles of the XII-XIV centuries, which depict biblical scenes, in particular, the Archangel Michael during the Last Judgment and scenes of the battle of the archangels with the devil.

In addition to the legends about the gates to hell, numerous stories about ghosts and spirits are also associated with Gouska Castle. So, the inhabitants of the castle more than once heard moans and voices coming from the bottomless well. Some saw the figure of a black monk without a face. They tell about the Swedish deserters who faced the sorcerers living in the castle. There are stories of a bandit and a black chicken that the ghost seeks to gain eternal life. And not far from the hill on which the Gouska castle is located, there is the so-called Devil's Stone. There are traces of hooves and chains on this stone.

In 2013, a secret cell was unexpectedly found in the Gouska castle, carved into the rock adjacent to the castle. Scientists believe that this room was made here during the construction of the castle. One of the archaeologists said that the cell contains fragments of ancient ceramics. The mystery of the Gouska castle remains unsolved to this day.
