How to refund the cost of an air ticket purchased from Aeroflot

In June 2014, Aeroflot announced the introduction of non-refundable tickets at the Budget and Promo fares. The announcement was made immediately after the corresponding changes in the RF VK.

  • Digital number of the purchased ticket;
  • Flight number you planned to fly;
  • date and time of departure;
  • Reservation number.

All this data is in the air carrier's email that you received after booking your ticket. Which tickets cannot be refunded

Almost all issued plane tickets purchased via the Internet can be returned.

But there are exceptions to the rule, which include:

  • Air tickets marked “Non Ref”, which means “cannot be returned” in Russian. Be careful when buying. Such tickets scatter in an instant, as they have a very attractive cost for the passenger;
  • Air tickets purchased under the system of promotions and discounts. Often, airlines allow you to exchange for a flight on a different day and time, but prohibit refunds.

When is the best time to submit a travel document?

The sooner you can return the ticket back to the carrier, the better.

If you return the ticket more than a day in advance, you can count on 100% compensation minus the commission. But some companies impose fines and fees on the ticket cancellation procedure.

If you return the ticket less than 24 hours before departure, you will receive back 75% of its value. If you cancel the flight more than 4 hours, but less than 24 hours, you have a chance to get a refund of 75% of the cost. But if the deadlines are running out, then there is a high probability of running into fines.

Note! If you are late for the plane due to your own fault or through the fault of the security service, you can also return the ticket. The fine will be large, but you can still return part of the funds. Sometimes it is more profitable to reschedule a flight to another day than to pay a penalty to the airline.

The timing of the refund directly depends on many factors:

  • Place of ticket purchase (at the box office, online or through a tour operator);
  • Method of payment (cash, by card, from an electronic wallet);
  • Application deadlines.

The following refund options are available:

  • to the current account;
  • to a card of a certain bank;
  • to an online wallet;
  • in cash.

If you want to return money to your current account, then you need:

  • Name of the person to whom the current account is issued;
  • Your TIN;
  • Account number;
  • Full name of the bank;
  • BIC of the bank;
  • Correspondent account.

To transfer money to an electronic wallet:

  • Full name of the sender of money (or company name);
  • The name of the payment system (LiqPay, Yandex money, Webmoney and others);
  • The number of the online wallet itself.

To return to a bank card, you will need card details and the full name of the owner. Details can be taken at the banking organization itself or printed out at the service terminal (ATM).

You can return a ticket on the basis of the rules of the Rules for the Transportation of Passengers. After submitting all the documents and writing an application, the funds will be credited to the passenger's card within a month and to the card with which the payment was made.
