Since the beginning of December last year, 312 items forgotten by passengers have been found in the capital's buses, trolleybuses and trams. For each episode, an inspection was carried out, operational services went to the scene of the incident.

“When leaving the car, do not forget your things!” reminds us of a pleasant voice in the subway trains. And yet we often leave our belongings in the subway, and even more so in buses and trams, trains and planes, and then rush about, trying to return what we have acquired through overwork. “Orphaned” most often are bags, umbrellas, tubes, backpacks, cameras and ... bags with removable shoes.

According to Boris Tkachuk, First Deputy General Director of Mosgortrans, in winter and spring, the number of things forgotten by schoolchildren and students increases, and this leads to flight delays. Since the beginning of December, buses, trolleybuses and trams have been late for a total of 15 hours due to the discovery of unknown objects in the salons.

Explosives among the "losses" are extremely rare, but there is still a chance of their occurrence. Therefore, if you find, for example, a package in the cabin, and its owner is gone, do not approach the object, do not touch it and immediately report the find to the driver. If the action takes place in the subway, contact the driver using the call button (it is located near each door in the car). The operational services will immediately arrive, who will find out whether the suspicious bundle is an explosive device or is it just a pair of underpants in a bag.

We all sometimes are inattentive, especially in the mornings and evenings. And it can be very disappointing if you leave your favorite umbrella or handbag in the car. It is doubly offensive if there were documents and other valuable things. Of course, I would like to return it safe and sound.

Now people are somewhat afraid of lonely bags and packages on the subway, and instead of rummaging around in them, they often call the police. This vigilance is commendable, and gives a huge chance that lost items, even if they are quite valuable, will still return to the owner. If a passenger reports a find, it is immediately checked by the police. In the presence of the police and station workers, an inventory of the items found is compiled, and they are sent to the warehouse.

In any case, even if you don’t really believe in human honesty, you should try your luck and go to the warehouse of forgotten things.

But still, it is better to come with a passport to the Kotelniki metro station and look for lost things on the spot. After all, the description compiled by the metro workers may not match the description of the owner, and there may be misunderstandings about this. "Blue bag" can be written as blue, or simply "ladies' handbag".

Many passengers, having lost something, immediately say goodbye to their property, and absolutely in vain. Only every fifth owner rushes in search of his property, and if you look at the warehouse of forgotten things, you can find a lot of expensive things there. Bicycles, scooters, strollers, and even a small box of expensive mobile phones. After all, such things are not signed, and the employees of the lost and found office cannot find the owner themselves.

There are more conscientious and honest citizens than we think. So, if you have found or lost anything, do not hesitate to contact the metro workers, and they will do everything to help you.
