We arrived early, there were no rooms in the hotel, so we were offered a day to live in another hotel - Diamond Elite Hotel & Spa 5 *, and if we knew what would happen in Diamond Beach, stayed to live in Diamond Elite.
A little about Diamond Elite Hotel & Spa 5*. Nice cozy hotel 16+, second line from the sea. Mostly German. Neat, solid interior 4. The number of rooms is new. We got room 3107, two rooms. The room is very comfortable, quiet, calm, clean, new furniture, with closers. The only negative is that the room is very smoky.
For food - no queues, a large selection, no fuss, like in Diamond Beach, everything is calm, the waiters are friendly and even ice cream can be safely approached and put after dinner.
And now about Diamond Beach.
The interior of the hotel is richer than in Diamond Elite Hotel & Spa 5 *. The number of rooms is poorer, the number is simpler. Since we agreed to move to another hotel for the day, we were promised a good room, and the first room that was offered was on the 5th floor. Two-room, very stuffy, though overlooking the sea. We refused, asked for a quiet, cool room, they gave us a view of the courtyard, where there is a round pool. Single room, but large, 4303. Good, calm, you can sleep at lunchtime, at night without any problems at all. Furniture is no longer so new, shabby in places, pillows have the same name, mattress springs in places make themselves felt. Cleaned every day, if you can call it that. In recent days, the floor was not washed, it was evident from the sand that remained on the floor. Towels were changed every couple of days. In recent days, we just folded our dried towels into the bathroom. The foot towel was taken away on the first day of cleaning and it would have been a waste if you didn't come to pick it up yourself.
The mini-bar was replenished daily: water, mineral water, 2 kinds of lemonade. The air conditioning worked well, even with the balcony open. The balcony is large, in the evening they sometimes sat there, because. sometimes there caught wi-fi.
Beach towels to receive from 8.30, hand over until 18.30, which is very inconvenient, because. we were on the beach until 19.00, or even longer. Therefore, we rented them 3-4 times in 14 days, the rest of the time they dried on the balcony.
The road to the sea was about 5-7 minutes on foot, to the sea from the hill, but back, pump up your legs a little) You could also get on the minibus, which went 4 times a day. There is no entrance to the sea as such, a piece of the sea, which was supposed to be our hotel, was occupied under water sports, everyone went swimming a little to the left of the beach, where some kind of dirty river flowed into the sea. It did not smell, but this is clearly not a mountain river, the drain is most likely dirty and muddy. We went swimming 200 meters to the right. The beach is very small, elongated. Every day there were more and more people. A lot of children. I don't recommend going here as a couple.
A bar by the beach - basically they only took water there, so there’s not much to say about it. I tried coffee and hot chocolate there - melancholy.
The food at the hotel is tasteless, peppery, sometimes oversalted, monotonous, only different variations of cutting and laying out.
For 13 days in this hotel there were 1 time oil-breaded squid rings, 1 time mussels stewed with squid and tiny shrimps, 1 time trout.
Breakfasts are meager - not fried pancakes, fried eggs, scrambled eggs (it was delicious once), dry breakfasts, 3 in 1 hardware coffee, tea bags, tea leaves (they also brew large tea bags in a kettle), bread, buns are always the same everyday.
Lunch - 2 types of soup, soup plates are dirty, we had to look for clean ones. There are stewed vegetables, but they are peppered, there is a lot of grilled liver, and this is 5 * something, fish like grilled herring. You have to try to find unpeppered rice, french fries, unfinished baked potatoes, pasta, which ended very quickly, because, apparently, there was nothing for people to feed children except ordinary pasta.
And different variations of stewed vegetables again, which cannot be eaten because of spices.
Dinner was also prepared on the street, again grilled - chicken, herring, liver, turkey. All this is very boring, I want normal food, not on the grill, but good stewing, moderately salty and peppery. The rest is the same as for lunch.
Ice cream. Oh, that's a different story. There was always a line behind him. I managed to try it once, because we decided to do it before dinner. The result is lemon ice cream. Similar to a dry cold semi-finished product with a taste of lemon. They didn't eat anymore.
From fresh vegetables - cucumbers, chopped tomatoes, greens, smeared salads (we don’t even eat these at home), from fruits - sliced ​​​​oranges, apricots, watermelons were not always sweet, like melons, nectarines were not ripe at all, apples were normal, like ours .
The service is also noteworthy. In this chain of hotels, it is customary for waiters to serve drinks at lunch and dinner. Here, the waiters serve the Germans first, and then maybe if you're lucky, or if you incinerate him with your eyes, he will come up and reluctantly ask what to bring. This is what we saw all our vacation. The Germans in this hotel are a clear priority. The waiters smile at them, bring them, take them away, communicate, laugh, play with the children. With Russians it's different. The only time my husband ordered beer at a bar near the restaurant, and then they poured him into a plastic glass. At a time when the Germans were poured into glass beer glasses, as expected. The Germans are always served at the bar first, even if you are standing in front of the German in line, they don’t seem to see you or don’t want to see you and ask the one standing behind what he wants. This attitude is amazing. This is not the first time we are resting in Turkey, and not even the first in Side, but such an attitude has never been anywhere. Once she asked for a lemon for tea in the lobby at the bar, put 2 slices in my glass, I asked for 2 more, to which he looked like I owe him money, threw a couple more slices into the glass, and snorted something. At dinner they asked for a glass of cola, so he disappeared completely, and when he appeared, he pretended to have forgotten.
The more people in the hotel became, the less they coped with the service, cooking, cleaning, etc. It feels like they were completely unprepared for the influx of people.
And now the most important thing! Rotavirus is running around the hotel. My husband and I got sick, with all the consequences, we are still being treated. With all the consequences, this means not just lying in the room and leaving, but normally having been ill like that, with torsion in the stomach, diarrhea, headache, fever and vomiting. Because all our brought pills ended, I had to go to the pharmacy there more than once, where they sold our Russian activated carbon 2 blisters of 10 tablets of an old paper sample for 8 euros. This is the most expensive coal that my husband drank in his entire life. We also bought probiotics for 5 euros, a pack of 10 tablets. After the rotovirus, I didn’t eat meat until the end of the vacation, I couldn’t look at it. It's not just that we were unlucky, people really got sick. On the beach I heard that my daughter got sick, the mother would go alone to look at the skin, then the child drank something, his stomach hurt in the evening, then the teenage boy had a bad stomach and went to the room. After the rotovirus, my husband also got poisoned with vegetables stewed with meat, which they make in large pots. The boy animator on the beach playing bocce also suffered with his stomach after this dish. After all these adventures, we walked around with empty plates in search of something edible and less dangerous. In fact, we didn't actually eat anything. So, be vigilant. If you go to this hotel, take a lot of medicine with you, but it's better not to go at all than to put yourself and your children in danger.

Who needs a view of the pool, or some other, then do not take 2318🙂. There are no questions about the cleanliness of the room, everything is fine, but they don’t wipe the dust (although maybe this is only in our case). I was surprised that in the family room there is only one TV, and a small one. Again, he is not needed, but, here is such a detail. Safe $2.5 per day. We didn't take. Wi-Fi is free only in the lobby. If you want a room, you have to pay. For 10 days I paid 11.5 €. The pool is medium in size, there are always places on the sun loungers. Kitchen... There is a lot of food, but everything is monotonous. There are few desserts. Of the fruits there were delicious watermelons, dried apricots, peaches, grapes, apples, pears, plums. Melon is not tasty. For breakfast, eggs, in all forms, cheeses, yogurts, goat's milk .., pancakes, jams .., well, as usual .. Lunch and dinner. A lot of vegetables, salads, peculiar, pasta, french fries, mashed potatoes, baked, vegetables stewed with meat, without meat, etc., etc. Grilled beef, but the emphasis is on chicken mostly. Some kind of nuggets, onion rings ... In short, you will also find a piece of McDonald's here 🙂. They used to write here with delight that they even serve tuna ... Well, yes, they serve .. But you can’t cook tuna like that. Open our canned food - tastier. Animation. There is nothing to do with children there. The contingent of vacationers 50+. Mostly Germans. Of these, 70 percent are our emigrants who left for Germany 20 years ago. Beach. The road to the beach is 500 meters. A very steep descent, and, accordingly, then the same steep ascent. Again, with small children, not very convenient. The beach is small. If you haven’t taken a seat before 10 am, then it’s problematic. The beach is clean. The sea is shallow. Depth of meters through 50. Like everything. And so, this, of course, is not 5 *. Solid four. By the way, the Germans position this hotel as a 4 *. Relatively inexpensive, and this apparently takes. Rested at the hotel in June, two adults and a 1.5 year old child. The hotel is small. compact. It is located on the 2nd coastline, which is a minus. To get to the beach, you need to go around another hotel a little uphill and then go down to the beach. The beach is large, sandy, a lot of sunbeds with mattresses, well cleaned. There is a cafe where you can have a bite (if not for a small child, you can not go to the main restaurant). The food is good, a lot of vegetables in different types, there is a diet table. The minus is that during the strawberry season they never gave strawberries and ice cream only in the evenings and then you need to stand in line. The room is good, large, they asked for a crib for the child, they brought it. the only thing was that hygiene products were not reported, take your own. You throw the towels on the floor, they put a new one. A very big minus is that there is no issue of beach towels on the beach, you have to carry them with you, which is very inconvenient and hard, especially if it is damp and if you haven’t returned your towel before 19-00, you will have to take it stay the next day, they won’t change it for you in the morning. We stayed as a couple at the beginning of September. The hotel is excellent, everything is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The staff is polite and pleasant. Food is a whole different story. The beach is small, but cleaned with us every day. Strangers are asked not to take sunbeds. There is a cafe on the beach, you don't have to leave the sea. What bothered me was the close proximity of a river, not very clean in appearance, which flowed into the sea. Dogs run along the beach, big but peaceful. I love dogs very much, but the fact that they relieved their need between the sunbeds was not entirely pleasant. If you are traveling with small children, keep this in mind.

But it’s okay, gestures, facial expressions, English, Russian and Turkish do their job, understanding happens) I didn’t really like the beach, because, in my opinion, it’s dirty and rocky (there are stones in the water, it’s uncomfortable for children and adults to go into the water), but we went to the beach on the other side, it's 2-3 minutes away, there is more sand and the beach cafe employees are clearly cleaning up the area for their guests. There is a wonderful beach for sand castles and sand castles. The weather is great, the sea is clear. There is a lamp above the table and two near the beds, but there was not enough light on the ceiling))) In general, I liked the hotel, the food was varied, they gave me watermelon every day, once there was a strawberry. The beach is sandy, 10 minutes walk along a normal asphalt road. During this period, there were few people or just everyone came later, although there were a lot of people in the hotel (we left at 12:30). The main contingent of the hotel - it's Germans, few Russians. We did not go on excursions, initially it was planned to rest without trips, only to swim, eat, sleep. There is a large market nearby, many rows with clothes, and several ATMs are also nearby (everything is in one place in a row, you can withdraw money in any one you want). From the bar, I personally took cocktails with vodka, everything was fine and tasty))) Once I tried beer, somehow "quickly covered", stopped at cocktails)) For children, by the way, outside the hotel, a 30-second walk playground, where children from neighboring hotels walked, so the child will not be bored there. But besides the playground, I didn’t find what to do with the child, so we just swam and enjoyed life)) We were satisfied with the rest, I think I can recommend the hotel)

From the airport to the hotel a maximum of 40 minutes drive. We arrived at the hotel around 10:30 am and were seated immediately. Room 3403 with side sea view, fully consistent with the description, everything worked. Perfect cleanliness, snow-white new bed linen. Towels are just space. After the shower wrapped in it completely, very cool. Bought the same for home. The only negative is the low rim that separates the shower from the rest of the bathroom. That is, when everyone has washed, and the water has not had time to leave, inevitably the entire toilet remains flooded with water. The restaurant was also pleased with the cleanliness, the absence of queues for food. There was always enough space. Large selection of meat dishes. There was chicken, beef, lamb. Grilled fish was not impressive. Huge selection of salads, cheeses, confectionery. In the evening they gave ice cream and 2 times there was an ice cream cake. From fruits: apples, pears, oranges, grapefruit, plums, strawberries. There are probably 20 kinds of olives. Everything is very tasty and fresh. The road to the beach took 5-7 minutes. There from the mountain, back, respectively, uphill))) It didn’t bother me at all. While we were going there, we went to the beach bar, which is open from 10 am to 4 or 5 pm. There is also food and drinks, gozleme cakes every three hours. Very, very tasty. Especially with cheese and greens. The beach is wide, the entrance to the sea is very gentle.
